Kitchen and Bath Fixtures, Plumbing

Claw foot tubs, corner tubs other architecturally significant tubs and sinks.

One piece shower stalls or enclosed tubs (white or off-white)

Complete vanity sets w/neutral colors/no water damage. Faucet preferred

Radiators in excellent condition

Toilets (white or off-white); complete units

Sinks—architecturally significant or unique

No bathtubs (except as noted)

No bathroom sinks, vanities or vanity tops.

No colored toilets or partial units

No faucets, drains, shower heads or towel bars, PVC parts

No wall mounted bathroom sinks.

No medicine cabinets.

 

Cabinets

Kitchen cabinets in good condition, preferably of plywood construction, not particle board

Straight countertops in neutral colors 4ftx18in. min.

No countertops with cut-outs or L-shaped

No water damaged cabinets

No heavily soiled cabinets

 

Doors

Interior and exterior doors, free of peeling paint

Solid wood, paneled doors

Sliding glass doors—assembled in frame.

Steel insulated, paneled doors

No hollow core doors

No doors with rot, damaged corners,

No half light wooden doors

No single sliding glass doors, unassembled

No steel, commercial slab doors

 

Hardware

Door knobs, locks—with keys.

Hinges, clasps, handles, tools (hand & power).

fasteners: unopened boxes of nails, screws, bolts, etc.

No locks without keys

No broken items

No loose nails, screws, bolts

 

Insulation

Fiberglass insulation rolls only if unopened.

Insulation board if clean and boards 16 ft 2 or larger, seasonally

No used or unwrapped fiberglass insulation

No insulation board less than 16 ft 2

No cellulose

 

 

Lumber/Plywood

Framing lumber 6 feet or longer, free of nails, screws or staples, free of rot and unpainted. May be pressure treated.

Finished 1 by suitable for interior use over four feet and free of nails.

Plywood, OSB or particle board 16 square feet or larger.

No rot, nails, screws or staples

No painted/stained boards

No cracked, broken, rotted or warped lumber or plywood

Paint & paint accessories

New/unused brushes, rollers and pans.

Take all paint, tar, mud, adhesives to CSWD Environmental Depot located at 1011 Airport Parkway .

Roofing

Corrugated Roofing/ Standing seam—no rust.

Vinyl siding in excellent condition—500sf or more.

No shingles less than 100 sf or partial rolls of paper/felt

Tiles

Ceramic kitchen & bath tiles—unopened in quantities of 50 ft 2 or larger.

No broken corners, or grout/glue on either face; no vinyl comp. tiles

 

Windows

Double paned or insulated casement, double hung or awning style windows in casements and free of rot.

Wooden shutters in good condition.

True divided light (2 over 2, 3 over 3) wooden window sashes

No storm windows, single pane windows, or single pane w/storm windows

No picture windows

No vinyl or aluminum shutters

No rot or breakage

Lighting

Lighting only at discretion of BMC staff.

Prefer eclectic, unique fixtures

No fluorescent fixtures, no ceiling fans, brass/beveled glass combos

Various/Misc

Metal work: rebar, steel, copper; stairways in good condition, fencing, hardwood fencing, Hot water heaters, fireplace screens, grates, duct work,

 

Acceptance guidelines may change without notice. ReCycle North reserves the right to refuse any item based on space availability and quality. Donations must be made between 8am-5pm Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday. Specific questions should be referred to the Building Material Center at 339 Pine Street .
