Taking Down a Post & Beam Barn in Calias

This post and beam barn in Calais, VT, was deconstructed by a four person crew in seven days in early 2002. Lumber salvaged from this barn is for sale at the Building Materials Center. Some of the materials received through deconstruction projects are given away to nonprofit housing groups who use the materials to support low income families.
