Spring Lake Ranch

In the late spring of 2005 our deconstruction crew had the pleasure of participating in the full deconstruction of a two story residential structure on the campus of Spring Lake Ranch. Spring Lake Ranch is a therapeutic work community in Cuttingsville, Vermont just south of Rutland. The entire Spring Lake Ranch community helped tremendously throughout the deconstruction process by providing countless labor hours as well as keeping our decon crew well fed. Some of our crew members even camped at the ranch during the three weeks we spent there and quickly became members of the ranch community. The ranch was able to obtain a grant through the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources to help defray the cost of the project. This project was truly a collaborative effort between all three organizations and was a tremendous success in the end. Our deconstruction crew was sad to leave the Spring Lake Ranch community after completion and will always look back on this job as a highlight of 2005.
