Career Start

Career Start is ReCycle North’s newest training program. ReCycle North is part of a collaborative with Linking Learning to Life and area high schools to provide opportunities for students with learning and emotional disabilities from local high schools to grain job skills as part of their transition from high school into the working world. Students are recommended by their high schools, and interviewed and placed in various departments by ReCycle North. Students work on school time and receive credit for time on the job. Supervisors evaluate and give feedback to students on a regular basis and the Recycle North employment specialist works with the students to find paid summer employment. Local High Schools have been very enthusiastic about the training their students receive at ReCycle North and are looking forward to next year.
