ReCycle
North depends on volunteers to help make our stores a success and to fulfill our three-part mission of reuse, job skills training and poverty relief. In 2006, more than 90 volunteers gave more than 2200 hours of their time to ReCycle North. We also provided meaningful community service opportunities for 121 area students, as well as first-time offenders; each individual completed approximately 25 hours of community service.
To volunteer for any of these positions, please contact ReCycle North's Community Volunteer Coordinator at 658-4143 ext 31.
Sunday Sort Out: Come in for 3-6 hours any Sunday and help us clean up and organize the store after the busy week. Our stores are closed on Sundays so we can really dig in and get lots done. Come in by yourself, bring a friend or bring a group.
Mover of Goods: Help stock and organize store shelves during business hours for two to eight hours any week day. There is always a long and varied list of tasks to be done in the Household Goods Store or the Building Materials Center .
Building Materials Center Superhero: The BMC needs a committed, energetic and hard-working volunteer to come in on a regular basis to help with general upkeep of operations.
YouthBuild Community Advisor: Mentor one YouthBuild partner, one or more hours per week, one-year minimum commitment.
